Melissa Frakman joins the roster of global leaders at G20 meeting
Emphasis Ventures’ CEO & Founding Partner, Melissa Frakman spoke at the G20 Sherpa’s meeting at Kerala alongside distinguished world leaders from the private sector, governments, and multilateral organizations on Digital Public Infrastructure and India’s startup ecosystem.
She then also joined a private workshop on defining and financing the future of digital infrastructure which included leadership from global institutional investors, United Nations, World Bank, Unique Identity UIDAI Chairman of India, and policymakers around the world.
Later at an interview with The Economic Times she said, “India's transformative digital public infrastructure will be central to its ambitious goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy…A fully operational, interconnected and robust national infrastructure of this scale and magnitude does not have a global precedent and India's DPI success story is an outlier and first mover..”
She also noted that, “India's DPI is fuelling its thriving start-up ecosystem that is gearing up for a major global expansion.”
