Gramcover raises $7mm in Series A round

EMVC portfolio company Gramcover, which is a full-stack insurance distribution platform for rural India, has raised $7mm in its series A funding round.

The investment has been led by Siana Capital and Inflexor Ventures alongside Omidyar Network, Flourish Ventures, Stride Ventures and EMVC.

Gramcover will use the funds to further augment its tech enabled distribution and network of Point of Sale Persons to build bespoke insurance solutions and expand its reach to the 800mm uninsured farmers and other individuals across rural India.
